About HourDrop

What is HourDrop?

HourDrop is a one-hour product promotion platform where one product gets the whole homepage at a time.

For its hour, that product is the only thing on the page. While the hour runs, shoppers get its VIP deal, at least 20% off. A smaller standard deal of at least 10% off is available after the VIP hour while the drop is still up, and never later than 24 hours from the hour’s start.

There are two deals so the hour means something: the bigger one is only for the hour the product is on, and the smaller one is for shoppers who arrive after it, while the drop is still up. Brands, businesses and creators book the hours, and shoppers need no account.

How HourDrop works

  1. A brand, business or creator books an hour on the calendar, by bidding for it or locking it outright.
  2. They send in the drop: a name, a title, one line, a link, one wide image and two discounts. HourDrop reviews it, and a drop that breaks the rules is rejected or taken down.
  3. When its hour comes, the drop takes the whole homepage.
  4. Shoppers press the go button for the deal: the code, copied where the browser allows, or a link to the store with the discount already applied.
  5. After its hour, the drop stays on the screen until the next drop airs and takes its place.

What shoppers get

  • One deal at a time, on one product, with no account needed.
  • The VIP deal while the product’s hour runs, at least 20% off.
  • The standard deal, at least 10% off, after the VIP hour while the drop is still up, and never later than 24 hours from the hour’s start.
  • Flames that show a deal is catching on: one once 50 people have pressed the go button, two at 100, three at 200. Each person counts once.
  • The calendar, to see what is on now and what drops next.
  • The email list, for tomorrow’s drops by email.

Codes and discount links are handed out only when a shopper presses the go button.

What brands, businesses and creators get

  • The hour. Your product alone on the page for its hour, with your image, your line and your discount. Approved during the hour, it goes up from then.
  • The extension. After your hour, your drop stays on the screen until the next drop airs, however long that is.
  • The schedule line. Your name and your hour on the calendar once the hour is yours: the moment you lock, or when bidding closes with your bid on top.
  • The email. Your drop and its discount can go out to the list by email.
  • Your numbers. Once your drop has aired, its page shows how many people pressed the go button, during the hour and after it, the flames it reached and how long it was on the screen.

Promote on HourDrop covers what an hour costs, the discount it needs and how booking works.

How the HourDrop schedule works

HourDrop runs on US Eastern time, one product an hour. The calendar is open 7 days ahead and a new day opens every midnight Eastern, so there is always a full week of hours to choose from.

The calendar of upcoming drops shows each hour in your own time: what is on the screen now, what drops next and which hours are still open.

What qualifies as a drop?

A drop qualifies if it brings a real discount on a product or service: two codes or two discount links, one VIP and one standard, with the VIP deal the bigger of the two.

Discount links go on the product’s own site or on a checkout or membership platform, never on a social or link-in-bio page, and no link may be shortened or redirected. Adult content, anything illegal and ads with no perk behind them are not allowed, and a link that phishes or deceives gets whoever booked it banned for good. The rules have the details.
